Naproxen Toxicity CalculatorCanineFeline
Calculate naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn) toxicity risk in dogs and cats. Estimates total NSAID dose in mg/kg based on tablet strength and number ingested. Naproxen has an extremely long half-life in dogs (35–74 hours), causing dangerous drug accumulation. Even a single 220 mg Aleve tablet can cause serious toxicity in small dogs. Determines risk of GI ulceration (>5 mg/kg), renal injury (>10 mg/kg), CNS depression (>25 mg/kg), and potentially fatal multi-organ failure (>50 mg/kg). Used for NSAID toxicology triage, Aleve ingestion emergencies, and anti-inflammatory poisoning assessment. Common queries: 'my dog ate Aleve', 'dog ate naproxen tablet', 'cat ingested naproxen'.
