Marijuana / THC Toxicity CalculatorCanine

Calculate marijuana (cannabis, THC) toxicity risk in dogs. Estimates total THC dose in mg/kg based on product type and amount ingested. Dogs have more cannabinoid receptors than humans and are much more sensitive to THC. Covers dried flower (~15–25% THC), concentrates and wax (~70% THC), edibles (brownies, gummies, cookies with THC), and THC oil/tinctures. Clinical signs appear within 30–90 minutes: mild effects (sedation, ataxia, urinary incontinence) at low doses, moderate toxicity (tachycardia, hypothermia, mydriasis) at higher doses, and severe signs (tremors, seizures, coma) at very high doses. The canine LD50 is very high (>3 g/kg) so death is rare but severe clinical signs are common. Edibles containing chocolate or xylitol are an additional hazard. Used for cannabis ingestion assessment, marijuana edible emergencies, and THC exposure triage. Common queries: 'my dog ate edible', 'dog ate marijuana', 'dog ate weed brownie', 'dog ingested THC gummy'.
