Ethylene Glycol Toxicity CalculatorCanineFeline
Calculate ethylene glycol (antifreeze) toxicity risk in dogs and cats. Estimates pure ethylene glycol dose in mL/kg based on product type and amount ingested. Ethylene glycol is one of the most lethal common toxins — the minimum lethal dose is 4.4 mL/kg in dogs and just 1.4 mL/kg in cats (as little as one teaspoon can kill a cat). Time is critical: treatment with fomepizole must begin within 8-12 hours in dogs and 3 hours in cats. Used for antifreeze poisoning emergencies, coolant ingestion triage, and determining treatment urgency. Common query: 'my dog drank antifreeze' or 'cat licked antifreeze'.
