Cattle Weight EstimatorBovine
Estimate body weight of beef and dairy cattle using heart girth and body length measurements. Uses Schaeffer formula: Weight (lb) = Heart Girth (in) squared times Body Length (in) divided by a breed-type constant (300 for beef, 330 for dairy). Heart girth is measured around the barrel just behind the front legs; body length is measured from the point of shoulder to the pin bone. Useful for cattle without access to a livestock scale, drug dosing, feed ration formulation, market weight estimation, growth monitoring, and breeding weight targets. Works for cows, bulls, steers, heifers, and calves. Common queries: how much does my cow weigh, estimate cattle weight, beef cattle weight calculator, dairy cow weight, weigh tape for cattle.
